Jewish representation in comics has historically used the Holocaust, antisemitism, and other forms of discrimination and persecution to either represent Jewish identity in shorthand or explore it. But, obviously, there’s a lot more to being Jewish. Join this panel of creators and academics for an upbeat look at the bright side of Jews on the page, and how this helps evolve the Jewish image in the public understanding.

Panelists include Dr. Miriam Mora, Academic Director of the Center for Jewish History (CJH) in NY; Danny Fingeroth, former longtime Spider-Man group editor at Marvel, comic book historian, and author; Jordan Gorfinkel, former Batman editor at DC and author of The Passover Haggadah Graphic Novel; and Roy Schwartz, CNN pop culture historian and author of "Is Superman Circumcised? The Complete Jewish History of the World's Greatest Hero."

Join us for this fascinating and entertaining panel, as well a special announcement!

Presented by 'JewCE: The Jewish Comics Experience,' a program by the Center for Jewish History: jewce.org.
