By the end of this program, students will have a better understanding of how the Yiddish language works, creating a foundation for continued education. We will learn through a mixture of sources, including textbooks, poetry, humor, and of course, The Simpsons. From verb usage and conjugation to expressing opinions, the class aims to give a beginner’s look at grammar, syntax, and style.
For the best student interaction and engagement, we aim to keep class sizes small. (3 spots left).
This class is taught in English: Yiddish alef-beys literacy (ability to read Yiddish letters) is assumed for this class.
Each class is 90 minutes long.
